Drama about Waldo Williams (1904-1971) - poet of courage, poet of tenderness.
‘Gobaith fo’n Meistr, rhoed Amser inni’n was.’
With the National Eisteddfod heading for Garreg Las in 2026, it is fitting that the company Mewn Cymeriad pays tribute to the work and life of one of the most prominent children of that area, the poet and peace campaigner Waldo Williams. In this presentation, we get a glimpse of the tight weave between the experiences of his life, the ideals of his philosophy and his poetry, and consider how relevant his words are to our days.
